Internet Fwendz vol. 5!

Hi everyone!
Hope yall feeling glistening today, because we got our upcoming long waited Internet Fwendz vol. 5!!

This time is pretty special because 1) this is a conjunction with Grrrl Gang’s  “Stay Fat, Akbar” trip for their grumpy bassist farewell shows before him leaving us abroad (Good luck Akbar! Stay fat too…), and 2) we just signed the freshly heart-wrenching emo/indierock project by Alfath Arya called Flowr Pit for an upcoming mini release & music video!!! So please join us do that welcome (and goodbye) crowdsurfs for them and shout some love. Come celebrate with us and of course, jingle out with your best buds.

New mini release out today: Grrrl Gang – Stop This Madness singles!!!

This is Angee (vocal & guitar), Edo (guitar), and Akbar (bass). Since we watched them for the first time a few months ago, we were pretty much sure that Grrrl Gang is really what we’ve been looking for: sweet pop riffs and melodies, a sense of bitterness and melancholia, provocative-honest lyrics, fuckyouandyourcoolfriends attitude, and dead serious internet jokes. They were born in 1995, 1996, and 1997, but we’ve never met any other kids their age who offer such musical sensibility that Grrrl Gang has got in hand.

So we’re really excited now to share you the trio’s first effort ever, a double-single release titled “Stop This Madness: Bathroom/Thrills” as our mini release under the KOL-00D catalog. You can stream or download both tracks for free via our Bandcamp and SoundCloud page.

The release is also out with a super fun/sweet music video shot and directed by our lovely girl friends Carkultera Wage Sae & Nadine Hanisya. Watch below:

Stop This Madness is available on limited CD-R, in edition of 100 that you can mailorder with sending this format: Name / Phone Number / Shipping Address / Quantity of copy (max 2pcs) to grrlgangofficial@gmail.com.

The amazing (unfortunately) fictional comic cover artwork is done by Ariel Kaspar sensei.

New Year New Bands

We know 2017 just started but we’re already so pumped to share our very first blog post this year to you guys to welcome two new Yogyakarta bands to our modest nest.

Freshly fresh! Grrrl Gang is an indie pop band consists of Angee, Edo, Akbar and Bagus known for their girl vocal driven pop tunes wrapped in sweet guitar melodies and fuzzy rhythm. Although they’re just newly formed, expect them to make you dance and sing wildly on their shows as their material is being cooked for our early 2017 release.

Listen to “Bathroom”

Another one to look out for, Seahoarse has been known for their reverb-drenched shoegaze/dreampop sounds and fun performance that they offer from shows to shows. Their introductory single “Cricket Choir” appeared on soundcloud back in 2015 and we’ve been good friends ever since. We will take care of their LP that expected to arrive this mid-good-year!

Listen to “Cricket Choir”

And oh yeah, happy new year! Share the love!
